CREEPY HALLOWEEN NEWS ARTICLES
Throughout the English lessons of Module 4 , “Media all around”, students got the chance to write different articles on several topics. To make your Halloween even more exciting, you can read some of those articles and get pretty scared by the tragic news of our 1th Grade Marketing/Communication and Multimedia students.
Just one note: the news are fake, but the intention was for them to follow the structure of an article and put their English writing in a quite proactive way.

Man killed by clown masked

A man was strangely killed by someone masked. The police have not still discovered the name of the person who killed the victim. The event was on October 31 at André’s house. The murder was using a clown mask and used a knife to commit the crime.
The murder has not been identified yet, but he is being sought and will probably be caught and properly punished.
It was the victim’s friends who called the police and reported the incident. The main suspect is a student who allegedly had had an argument with the victim before the party started.
Halloween Fail… and Betrayal …

On the last Halloween, five students went to a party in one of their houses and something went terribly wrong. The result: one dead, one murderer and four suspects. A young boy, Jack, was murdered in a bedroom in the house, allegedly hit by a bottle of beer.
During the Halloween party, the young students Jack, Rylie, Hunter, Ashley and Sam split for some moments and the panic was installed because Jack was found dead in one of the rooms by his childhood friend, Hunter.
The group of friends started suspecting each other, so Hunter stopped the mess and went to check the surveillance cameras, discovering not only that Jack’s girlfriend, Rylie was the one behind the crime, but also that Jack had been cheating on Rylie with Ashley.
Hunter right away went to a room with Sam to tell her what he had discovered, leaving her heartbroken, because supposedly they had been in a secret relationship with Ashley. After they discussed what to do, Hunter and Sam called the police and both girls were arrested: Rylie for murdering Jack and Ashley for being a witness but not saying anything about it, so for being the crime accomplice.
The Most Tragic Halloween ever

Two 17-year-old girls at a private teen party in an abandoned house end in tragedy, due to illicit drug use.
On October 31, 2019, at a private Halloween party, a group of teenagers went to an abandoned house to celebrate. However, the Halloween night ended in tragedy, due to hallucinations of two girls, who had been using illicit drugs.
The girls eventually fell down the stairs, because they thought they were being chased by ghosts. Both had a tragic ending that went down in History and served as an example for the dangers of drug consumption.
Small town accidentally burns real witch on Halloween

This year, on Halloween, a real person was burned after a mix-up of personnel. The victim, Iris West, whose body was burned beyond recognition, was 17 years old. The police are still trying to understand what exactly happened.
The accident happened at midnight on the 31st of October. The ambulance arrived in the first 3 minutes after the incident. The young lady was escorted to the hospital only to tragically pass on from her injuries. Her body was burned beyond recognition and her parents got a final chance to say goodbye at the cremation centre later that week.
The police are looking into the real reason for the accident. We spoke to some of the local residents to know what they thought about the accident and we discovered that the majority of the population thinks of it as an intentional killing. There is, however, a lack of evidence, so the police don’t have much to go off.
This is a story that sent shockwaves throughout the world and everybody is hoping that it is the last time something like this will ever happen.
