No \u00e2mbito do tema \u00abThere\u2019s no Planet B\u00bb e da articula\u00e7\u00e3o letiva com a professora polaca Malgorzata Florczyk, os alunos do 11\u00baD escreveram textos em ingl\u00eas – poemas e prosa po\u00e9tica – com o intuito de refletir sobre o nosso impacto no planeta Terra.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Como pano de fundo para a escrita, os alunos tinham que ser voz de um dos quatro elementos naturais – ar, \u00e1gua, terra e fogo- e personificar, de entre as diferentes formas poss\u00edveis, um deles.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Para mantermos esta voz aud\u00edvel, publicaremos nas edi\u00e7\u00f5es deste jornal at\u00e9 ao final do ano lectivo. As palavras entendam-nas como mensageiras de um apelo \u00e0 vossa participa\u00e7\u00e3o genu\u00edna com ac\u00e7\u00f5es, aqui, na escola, em que cada um de n\u00f3s diminua a sua pegada!<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am\u2026.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I am a flower, once vibrant and alive, but now damaged by the changing tides. The heat that once fed my growth now burns my petals and youth. I used to get up, looking out for the sun, but now I\u00b4m bent and broken, undone. The raindrops that once fed my thirst now burn and destroy my worth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u00b4m just a symbol of the world\u00b4s decay, a victim of the choices we make today. The pollution and destruction inflicted are the thorns that prick and tear my stem. But even when I wither and disappear, I hope and pray for a better day, for even the smallest seed can flourish, given the chance to grow and renew itself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u00b4m just a flower, but I am not alone in this struggle against the forces that have flown and though I may be damaged, I will not be destroyed, because I am a symbol of beauty to be praised. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

So let’s take care of the Earth and all its flowers, because if we don\u00b4t, in time there won’t be hours to see the beauty of the world and the flowers, and that would be a real tragedy.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n
